I received an invitation to exhibit at the Monaghan INTO Education Fair which will be held in the Conference Centre, Four Seasons Hotel Monaghan Town on June 1st. I’m looking forward to the event.

Visit to Scoil Mhuire, Coolcotts, Wexford
Thanks very much to the Principal and staff who welcomed me into Scoil Mhuire. It’s a lovely school.
A special thanks to Ms Juggins and her great sixth class for giving me their class time.
With their help I decided on the size of the Demonstration PolyMath.
I demonstrated all the functions of the polyMath to the class.
The pupils had already studied angles so they had no trouble using the polyMath as a protractor.
The slightly enlarged centre-point holes in the polyMaths meant that there were no broken pencil points when drawing the circle.
The response to the polyMath was very enthusiastic and it was pronounced to be ‘cool’!
Congratulations to Ellie and Lily, who were sitting beside each other and who each won a polyMath in the guess- a- number raffle. I really enjoyed my visit.
Larger centre-point holes in the polyMath
A blunt pencil or a ballpoint pen can now be used for the centre-of-circle holes in the polyMaths ordered from now on.
If you would like to enlarge the holes in a polyMath you already have you can do so very simply by drilling with a 2 mm bit.
Dragons’ Den 1st May 2016
